Library Poster

In this project, I had to create a poster that was going to be hung up in the Marshall Public Library, and it had to have a library or book theme to it. My first thought for this project was me asking myself why I read books. After asking myself and a few friends, I came up with the idea of having a book in the middle of the poster with different scenery around the book. Since the answer that I heard frequently was being able to escape reality, I decided to find a quote involving that statement. I had chosen two different fonts for the quote to show what words were the most important, like “reading” or “stay where”. I also wanted the quote to go with the theme of the various worlds. The thing I found difficult on this project was getting the colors bright enough and not having them dark where you're not able to see what scenery is on the poster. After a few tweaks, I found the right shades for the colors I was using.
